West Lion                                                               East Lion

I was on Mt. Brunswick February 20th looking back to the west face of the Lions. They looked very tasty.

March 10th I was hiking by 7:30. Around 900m switched to boot packing to the treeline when this previously hidden gem came into view. For safety reasons I’d have to leave this West Lion couloir for another day.

Skinning lasted 30 minutes before switching back to boot packing to the top.

Down the Lions west ridge to Unnecessary Mountain with Cypress in the back left.

Lion’s Bay, Howe Sound and the Sunshine Coast

After enjoying the views it was time to drop in at 1pm.

There was a very hard rain crust directly under 20cms of fresh, dry pow and it skied quite well.

I took my skis off around 920m, got back to the car by 3:30.

A few people have now asked so, if you are looking for a Point-Of-View helmet cam, my research seemed to indicate the VIO POV1 is the best on the market. As of March 13th, they are on sale for $600, $100 less than I paid at Rip TV.
